Coast Mountain Bus Company 21001–21025

Coast Mountain Bus Company 21001–21025 are a set of 25 New Flyer Industries XDE60 units built in 2021. They are the first articulated buses ordered in TransLink's new standard livery with a blue roofline. They are also the first articulated buses in the fleet not meant for TransLink's RapidBus service to be fitted with the BAE HybriDrive system.

The placement of this order was first mentioned in May 2019, with an order of 19 units due to arrive in 2020 and 30 in 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the order for 19 units in 2020 was deferred to 2021 and was revised for an order of a total of 55 units due to arrive in August 2021. This was later revised to 25 units. However, the production and delivery of this order were delayed due to a global shipping and logistics shortage, among other challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The procurement of these buses is for the expansion of current services. Most of these units are to be used for introducing articulated bus service on the 84 UBC/VCC–Clark Station. The plan was to introduce these buses on the 84 in January 2022 but has been deferred until a later date due to a delay in lengthening select bus stops along the 84's route.

Compared to the other XDE60 buses in the fleet, this batch has additional seat padding and an additional curbside destination sign, similar to what is found on RapidBus units. However, unlike most XDE60 buses procured before this batch, these buses have an enlarged stop request button similar to the style used on the 2012 units. These are also the first articulated buses in the fleet to be delivered with TSI's Internet Protocol Slim Line Wedge CCTV cameras pre-installed. This batch is the first to use the new CCTV installation layout for articulated buses where the interior rear-facing camera in the rear section is moved closer to the rear of the bus, as opposed to being installed closer to the articulation joint. These are also the first conventional buses in the fleet to be delivered with a three-point driver's seatbelt, as opposed to the two-point lap seatbelts used in all previous conventional bus orders.
