History

  • Route 109 is an express bus service, servicing the community of Harvest Hills, as well as Centre Street N.

Routing

  • In the morning, Route 109 starts at the intersection of Harvest Hills Drive and Harvest Oak Gate NE. The route continues in a circular shape, before eventually turning left at Harvest Oak Gate NE. Eventually, Route 109 turns left onto Harvest Hills Blvd N before crossing a bus trap in order to enter Centre Street N. The route continues on Centre Street, with limited stops (just like Route 301) along the way. Once Route 109 enters the downtown core, Route 109 turns right on 6 Avenue SW, and terminating at the intersection of 6 Avenue and 9 Street SW. The afternoon routing starts at 5 Avenue and 9 Street SW, following the same routing as the morning.

Frequency (as of December 23, 2019)

In the morning, most of the vehicles servicing Route 109 are articulated 60-foot buses out of the Stoney Garage, with a few 40-footer keys from Victoria Park and Stoney Garages. In the afternoon, all blocks are serviced by 40-foot buses, either out of Victoria Park or Stoney Garage. Frequency on this route is varied, so the list of trips are below.

  • AM Peak: 5 trips (starting at 6:16, 6:37, 6:46, 6:57 and 7:07.)
  • PM Peak: 4 trips (starting at 16:05, 16:25, 16:40 and 17:10)
