Bulkley Nechako Regional Transit System
Bulkley Nechako Regional Transit System is the transit system serving Burns Lake and the communities along Highway 16 between Smithers and Prince George. Funding is provided by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, with additional funding commitments from communities served along the routes.[1] Planning and administrative support is provided by BC Transit. Operations are contracted to Pacific Western Transportation.
Service began operating on June 19, 2017. It was the second segment of the Highway 16 Transportation Action Plan to be implemented,[2] after expanded service between Smithers and Moricetown began in January 2017.
