1 Queen is a regular bus route operated by Brampton Transit in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Route Details

Current routing of route 1 Queen.

Route 1 operates between Mount Pleasant GO Station and Highway 50, travelling mostly on Queen Street the entire length. It also provides service on Mississauga Road between Bovaird Drive West and Queen Street West, and Clark Boulevard between West Drive and Central Park Drive. It passes by the Downtown Terminal, Bramalea Terminal and the Flower City Community Campus. Branch 1A only operates Mondays-Fridays.

Before September 2006, this route operated as two separate main branches westbound: the 1A Queen along Queen Street from the east to the west end of the city via downtown, and the 1B Queen from Bramalea Transit Centre to Shoppers World/Sheridan College via downtown (eastbound runs of both operated as just the "1 Queen", with different routing and end points on signage). Both were merged into the current 1 Queen route in September 2006, and the 52 McMurchy was introduced to take over the 1B's routing from downtown to Shoppers World.

September 2006 - Route 1A and 1B are combined into route 1.

2009 - Route 1A is introduced as a branch between Major William Sharpe Drive and Coventry Road.

2016 - Service on route 1 is extended west to Mount Pleasant GO Station, with main branch service discontinued to the Major William Sharpe Drive area.
