BYD Auto introduced a battery-electric Type-D school bus in June 2021. It is available in lengths of 36, 38, and 40 feet. The bus uses lithium iron phosphate batteries and offers a range of 155 miles. Dual in-wheel traction motors drive the rear wheels.[1]
