The BYD Auto K11U is an 18-metre, low floor, battery-electric transit bus available in Europe. It made its world premier at Busworld 2015 in Kortrijk, Belgium.[1] Nobina was the first to purchase the K11U, taking 42 buses for service in Oslo.[2] The K11U introduced a new body design that has been adopted by other transit buses offered by BYD in Europe.
The K11U was first presented with a range of 220 kilometres. Later in production battery capacity was increased to 478 kWh, offering a range of 300 km on a single charge.
The K11U was replaced by a slightly longer 18.75 metre version that had an increased range of 400 kilometres in 2022.
