The BYD Auto C9 (Chinese model: CK6120LLEV) is a 40-foot (12-metre), battery-electric motorcoach. It was introduced to the United States at the 2015 United Motorcoach Association Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana.[1] It was introduced to the European market in March 2016 at Transports Publics in Paris. Two local operators became the first to order the C9, taking a total of 16 coaches that will be on trial for six months.[2]

The C9 can travel approximately 200 kilometres (124 miles) on a single charge. The coach uses BYD's lithium iron phosphate batteries and can be fully recharged in one to one-and-a-half hours.
