BC Transit 9861-9878

BC Transit 9861-9878 are 1998 New Flyer D40LF buses.

These units were originally allocated to communities outside of Victoria, and as such are equipped with air conditioning. All units were painted in the red BC Transit paint scheme; they all received a mid-life refurbishment and a repaint to the current green/blue livery in 2011.

Units 9867-9868 were fitted with Cummins ISC engines and Meritor axles from the factory instead of the standard Detroit Diesel Series 50 engines and MAN axles typical of the rest of the fleet.
