They were originally built for [[BC Hydro Transit]] as [[BC Hydro Transit 772-779|772-779]], and were transferred to the Urban Transit Authority upon its creation in 1979. While officially numbered in the 8000 series, buses operating in Victoria typically only displayed the last 3 digits. Under the Unified Provincial Fleet (UPF) system, they were assigned fleet numbers 6150-6157, and were renumbered to their UPF fleet number when transferred to systems outside Victoria.

BC Transit 6150-6157 were GMDD T6H-4521 buses built in 1969.

They were originally built for BC Hydro Transit as 772-779, and were transferred to the Urban Transit Authority upon its creation in 1979.
