BC Transit 6001 was a GMC TDH-3501 "Old Look" bus built in 1964.

It was originally delivered to Northern Stage Lines for transit service in Prince George. Canadian Coachways subsequently purchased Northern Stage Lines operations, who in turn sold their Prince George division to Prince George Tours & Transit. The system was sold to Bureau of Transit Services in 1978, and the bus was renumbered to 6001 as part of the provincial fleet.

Buses owned by the Bureau of Transit Services transferred to the Urban Transit Authority upon its creation in 1979, renamed BC Transit in 1982.
