Vancouver Regional Transit System 3646-3648 were General Motors Diesel Division TDH-5301 buses built for Saskatoon Transit in 1962. They were purchased second hand in 1974 by the BC Ministry of Municipal Affairs Bureau of Transit Services and assigned to BC Hydro Transit Lower Mainland operations.
BC Hydro Transit fleet ownership transferred to Urban Transit Authority (UTA) and operations assumed by Metro Tranait Operating Company (MTOC) in April 1980. UTA renamed BC Transit in 1982; MTOC operations in Vancouver and Victoria moved into BC Transit in April 1985.
