BC Transit 1854 and 1879 were 35 foot long Flyer D900 buses built in 1980 for King County Metro Transit of Seattle Wa. Some accounts say they were leased from King County, others say they were purchased outright for $1000 each by BC Transit in 1997 to alleviate a shortage of vehicles. Assigned to Surrey Transit Centre, all were retired by late 1998, and resold to ABC Bus Sales. Buses were not repainted for BC Transit service; they ran in their Metro Transit liveries.
