The Allison V Series is an automatic transmission used on heavy duty vehttp://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Allison_V_Series&action=edithicles. It is used on vehicles with a V-drive powertrain layout. The V Series was later available with a retarder as an option.
