ABQ RIDE 950-983

ABQ RIDE 950-983 are 2009 New Flyer Industries DE40LFR buses. These primarily replaced the 400-series buses on most routes, although some 400-series buses were kept until 2011 for select routes where smaller buses are desired to make tighter turns, with the last three units (which were used on the D-Ride neighborhood circulator route) retired in July 2014.

Other than difference in age and a few other minor differences, they are virtually identical to the 700-series buses, and, like the 700s, are powered by Cummins ISL engines paired with the Allison E^P40 parallel hybrid propulsion systems. Until 2015, they were based at the Yale Transit Facility in southeastern Albuquerque alongside the 300-series and the 600-series buses. On May 1, 2015, they were moved to the Daytona Transit Facility on the Albuquerque Westside alongside the 700-series, 6400-series, 6600-series, and the 6900-series buses. This move was temporary until renovations at the Yale Transit Facility were complete. These buses have been moved back to the Yale Transit Facility as of October 2015.
