The Western Flyer Coach E700 was a prototype trolleybus built for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). In 1967, the TTC sent one of their Canadian Car and Foundry T-44 buses to Western Flyer where its traction components were installed in a new bus. The new E700 was delivered to the TTC in 1968 and was tested in service. It was sent back to Western Flyer for modifications, returning as an E700A in 1970. Western Flyer would build 152 more E700A buses for the TTC.[1]
