Welland Transit 1137-1142 were 2006 Blue Bird Ultra LF buses. They were acquired used from the GTAA in 2007. They provided inter-terminal shuttle service until the LINK Train was put into service. They were redone in Welland Transit's livery from the allover blue of the GTAA and renumbered. Welland Transit is reported to have payed 33 per cent of the cost of buy six new buses.[1]

At the December 6, 2011 City Council meeting, members learned that these buses, which they expected to last 15 years, were developing serious problems. Beginning in 2008, 33 defects have occurred including broken front and rear suspension, engine and brake warning lights, leaking coolants, electrical and battery problems, brake problems, broken emergency window frames, and radiant floor heaters falling off the walls of the bus. The most serious problem, found in September 2011, were cracks found in the frames of three buses which had to be repaired. Council approved repairing the remaining buses, but the transit manager advised the first three buses' repair work wouldn't last as long as the ones planned. Therefore, Council recommended replacing the buses in 2012.[1]
