The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky or TANK is the public transit system serving the Northern Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio located in Kenton County, Boone County and Campbell County.

History

TANK was founded in 1973, replacing Cincinnati, Newport and Covington Transportation Company.

  • Buses were individually named after the Kentucky Derby winner for the year.
  • 1915 caught fire on 10/15/1990 and was subsequently rebuilt.
  • 1930 is preserved by TANK as 1901. (Lic. Plate: T46-053).
  • AMGs with mechanical issues were scrapped in 1988.
  • All remainders except five were retired in early 1993.
  • Five AMGs were retained for express routes into 1995. 1903 was the last AMG to retire on March 25, 1995.
