Toronto Transit Commission Historic Fleet
The Toronto Transit Commission Historic Fleet is a fleet of legacy vehicles, no longer used in regular revenue service, owned by the TTC for historical preservation.[1] The fleet consists of several buses and streetcars (With plans to preserve several SRT cars in the future as well[2]), all kept in varied conditions. Some of the vehicles have gone through a full restoration, while some have only been repainted, and others are to be parted out to support the fleet.
Some vehicles within the historic fleet are occasionally used for special events such as static displays, private charters, public event shuttles, and special public service trips.
The historical streetcar fleet is mostly used as static displays presently due to incompatibility with the newer pantograph-only overhead contact system (OCS), which is currently being installed along the entire streetcar network.
