Toronto Transit Commission 8380-8476 were Flyer Industries D901 buses built and delivered in 1981. The TTC ordered 107 buses from Flyer alongside an order for 42 General Motors New Look buses in the fall of 1980. The two orders were valued at $17.9-million.[1] The last 10 buses ordered from Flyer were built for Gray Line sightseeing service.

These buses were the first buses in the fleet to be delivered in the livery adapted from the newly delivered CLRVs. The interior colour scheme was a contemporary beige and brown. The TTC specified fibreglass seats with padded inserts for this batch. The buses were delivered with rollsigns, but were retrofitted with electronic flip-dot signs from Luminator as part of a fleet-wide retrofit in the early 1990s.
