Stagecoach South West is a transit operator in Devon and East Cornwall, England. It is a division of Stagecoach Group.
History
Stagecoach first entered South West England in 1996 through its purchase of Devon General (serving Exeter) and Bayline (serving Torbay and Newton Abbot), which had been privatized from Western National. The two companies were rebranded to Stagecoach Devon in 2003.
Stagecoach Devon was awarded operations tenders in Yeovil, Barnstaple, Bude, and Torrington in 2005 and 2006, expanding its service area. Stagecoach acquired Landylines in 2007, extending operations into Somerset. In 2015, Stagecoach purchased operations in Plymouth, Dartmouth, and Tavistock from First Devon & Cornwall. Target Travel's operations in Plymouth were purchased in October 2018.
