'''Mount Waddington Transit System''' is the transit system for Port Hardy, Port McNeill, and surrounding areas. Funding is provided by the Regional District of Mount Waddington, Quatsino First Nations, Gwasala-'Nakwada Band and Kwakiutl Band. Planning and administrative support is provided by [[BC Transit]]. Operations are contracted to the North Island Community Services Society, in conjunction with the Volunteer Transportation Network.
Mount Waddington Transit System was launched in 2009 with a fleet of two buses purchased through federal gas tax funds. It is currently the newest transit system in British Columbia.
