Southland Transportation 477-487 were 1996 model Thomas Vista bodied buses on a International 3600 chassis.

They were originally delivered to Southland from Thomas Bus Sales in mid-1996. 9 units, including 481-487 were renumbered in 2011/12 as part of Pacific Western's standard fleet numbering system.

Many units received an exterior refurbishment in around 2011 due to severe rusting. Refurbished units can be identified by having a slightly different "SCHOOL BUS" font and additional rivets around the clearance lights.
