The Setra ComfortClass 500 is a line of luxury touring coaches produced in Germany. It was announced in July 2013 and made its debut at that year's Busworld in Kortrijk, Belgium. The ComfortClass 500 is available in a lengths ranging from 12.5 to 14 metres and has a passenger compartment positioned higher than the ComfortClass 500. This also affords greater under-floor storage capacity.
The safety features introduced on the ComfortClass 500 are also on the TopClass 500. These include intelligent braking systems, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and electronic stability program. The TopClass 500 also uses the AquaBlade windshield wiper system, which distributes the washer fluid along the edge of the wiper blade. Like the previous generation of Setra coaches, the ComfortClass 500 features Front Collision Guard which incorporates underrun protection, energy absorption, and driver's module that is pushed rearwards in a collision.
