A School bus is a type of bus that transports students to and from school. The school bus was invented by George Shillibeer in 1827. The first school bus was a horse-drawn vehicle designed to carry 25 children. School buses in North America are specially built, painted and equipped. All of them carry a “yellow-orange” livery (this livery is known as “National School bus Chrome Yellow”) which is used for visibility and safety. School buses also come with specialized traffic warning devices. Most of the school buses acquired in recent years are either diesel-powered or hybrid. Some school bus can carry up to 59 to 90 passengers.
