Sangamon Mass Transit District, or SMTD, is the transit system serving the city of Springfield, Illinois.

History

  • Established in 1968 as Springfield Mass Transit District.
  • On January 1, 2017, it was renamed Sangamon Mass Transit District to reflect the provided services by the district.[1]
