San Francisco MUNI 2801-2845 is wheelchair accessible.

San Francisco MUNI 2801-2845 were 1993 Gillig Phantom 40' (40102TB6V92T) buses. They were bought used from AC Transit in 2005-2006 and entered service in 2006-2007.[1] They were originally powered by Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines. All units retired by December 2013.

  • 41 out of 45 units remained in the fleet in 2010.[2]
  • 2816 & 2828 were auctioned off on 12/13/2014. It is unknown which unit was the good runner and which unit was the non-runner.

  • It eventually was sold to a private owner and was spotted at a homeless encampment at the end of 23rd Ave. in Oakland, CA in April 2018.[33][34] By May 2018 it was stripped of its Lava Mae paint and eventually was covered in graffiti.[35][36] As of late October 2018, the bus was no longer there.
