History

In early 2002, Chula Vista Transit took delivery of ten New Flyer C40LF buses, which were the last purchase made by them before the takeover of the agency and operations by MTS later that year. They were contracted by Veolia Transportation (later Transdev) while retaining its yellow and blue Chula Vista Transit livery and service areas. This series was most likely replaced by the 2014-2015 Gillig Low Floor CNG buses (2401-2438 and 2001-2014).
