RATP Dev Transit London
RATP Dev Transit London is a bus operator based in London, UK. It is a joint venture between Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP) and Kelsian Group, formed in December 2021 to handle operations contracts of Transport for London.
History
RATP Dev first became involved in London bus operations in 2011. As a result of the merger of international companies Transdev and Veolia Transport, RATP accepted ownership of Transdev's London United subsidiary as part of compensation for its minority ownership in Transdev. Transdev London's remaining subsidiary London Sovereign was sold to RATP in March 2014, once again reuniting the two companies under common ownership.
In September 2021, RATP and Kelsian Group agreed to a partial merger of their West London bus operations. This partial merger featured RATP's two existing subsidiaries being joined by Tower Transit's Westbourne Park garage, which was placed under a new subsidiary London Transit. The new joint venture, named RATP Dev Transit London, was finalized in December 2021; RATP holds 87.5% ownership in the joint venture, while Kelsian Group holds 12.5%.
