The Prevost Car H3-45, part of the H-Series, is a 45-foot motorcoach sold in Canada and the United States. It is noticeably longer than its shorter counterparts, the H3-40 and H3-41. The H3-45 has five luggage bay sized panels between the wheels whereas the shorter models only have four.

Since its introduction in 1993, the H3-45 has been updated a number of times. Flush-mounted passenger windows were introduced in 1997. The interior was also updated. A new parcel rack design had a smoother and rounder appearance, as well as incorporated indirect lighting. A new design of passenger service set was also introduced with improved layout and air vents.

The front and rear cap were updated with new lights and a two-piece windshield in 2002. A new front end used round projector headlights on either side of a crescent recess above the bumper. The rear end continued the aesthetic with rounded tail lights and a curved recess for license plates.

In January 2009, Prevost introduced a redesigned front end for the H-Series coaches, incorporating larger, more aggressive headlights. This was followed by a new rear design, which was introduced in late 2010. The tail lights, in a red bezel, were moved higher and hug a Prevost nameplate.

A redesigned instrument panel was introduced for the 2011-model year. It features and improved layout as well as new aesthetic. Prevost also added their AWARE system which monitors and notifies the driver of vehicle spacing. This includes: adaptive cruise control and impact alert.

Thirty years after its initial launch, Prevost unveiled its next-generation H3-45 at the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) Expo in Orlando, Florida on January 12, 2023. Following UMA, the H3-45 will hit the road for a months-long debut tour.[1]

A redesigned shape of the exterior improved aerodynamics and yielded a 12 percent increase in fuel economy. Like the redesigned X3-45, the rear has a lip designed to improve the aerodynamics of the coach. The front also has a different curvature and increased angle of the windshield. New headlamps have a striking design outlined in a diffused white line of LEDs. The new H3-45 features improved maintenance access such as a new access panel on the front and larger junction box access. The bumper also comes in three pieces for improved serviceability.[1][2]

The redesigned H3-45 features a new entranceway with illuminated risers. The staircase now curves around to meet the aisle. The entranceway was also redesigned and includes a new handrail. New cabin lighting offers a brighter environment and is available with colour changing mood lighting. A new parcel rack design adds four inches of width to the aisle. They feature updated passenger service sets. The coach features a more powerful HVAC with improved distribution.[1][2]

The driver’s area has an improved driver display, with GPS, surround and back-up camera views integrated into the screen. An adjustable steering wheel features fingertip controls. Visibility was increased with reduced corner pillars, and the addition of wider, more reliable driver’s blinds.[1][2]
