14 Lund is a rural transit route operated by Powell River Regional Transit System in Powell River, BC.
Route Description
Route 14 is a Rural Transit route, providing limited service from Powell River to communities northwest along Highway 101. Service operates on Tuesdays and Fridays year-round; during the summer months from late June/July to mid-October, service also operates on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
From the north entrance of Town Centre Mall, buses operate west on Alberni Street, north on Marine Avenue, northeast on Arbutus Avenue, west on Lund Street, and northwest on Highway 101 to loop at the end of the highway in Lund. The morning trip diverts from Town Centre Mall to serve Powell River General Hospital and Cranberry via west on Alberni Street, north and east on Joyce Avenue, north on Manson Avenue, west on Cranberry Street, southwest on Timberlane Avenue, and west on Hawthorn Street to Marine Avenue.
History
- July 3, 2018: New seasonal service on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays added during the months of July and August.[1]
- 2021: Seasonal service on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays extended from Labour Day to Thanksgiving.[2]
