Route Description

Route 13 is a Rural Transit route, providing limited service from communities on Texada Island to Powell River. It operates two round trips per day on Thursdays only.

From the north entrance of Town Centre Mall, buses operate west on Alberni Street, north on Joyce Avenue to Powell River General Hospital, south on Joyce Avenue, west on Alberni Street, south on Marine Avenue, and west on Courtenay Street to the Westview Ferry Terminal; after boarding the ferry to Texada Island, buses continue south and east along Blubber Bay Road, north on Gilles Bay Road, east on Marble Bay Road, east on Van Alda Avenue to Copper Queen Street, west on Van Alda Avenue, west on Marble Bay Road, and south on Gilles Bay Road to end at Shelter Point Road.

Despite numerous systems connecting to BC Ferries terminals, route 13 is the only BC Transit route where the bus boards a ferry.
