12 Stillwater is a rural transit route operated by Powell River Regional Transit System in Powell River, BC.

Route Description

Route 12 is a Rural Transit route, providing limited service from Powell River to communities south/east along Highway 101. Service operates on Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday; on Thursdays, the Community Bus serves route 13 instead.

From the north entrance of Town Centre Mall, buses operate south on Joyce Avenue, east on Duncan Street, east and south on Padgett Road, east on Centennial Drive, south on Maris Road, and east on Highway 101, looping through the community of Stillwater via south on Loubert Road, east on Scotch Fir Point Road, and north on Roberts Road, before returning to Powell River via the reverse routing. Buses divert north on Zilinsky Road between Highway 101 and Kelly Creek Road on westbound trips in the morning, and eastbound trips in the afternoon. Two midday trips on weekdays (and one Saturday trip) extend east on Highway 101 to Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal.

History

  • July 3, 2018: Additional weekday trips and new Saturday service is added.[1]
  • June 28, 2021: Two trips per day extended to Saltery Bay; previously, service to Saltery Bay was on request only.[2]
