Route 35 was a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

The routing of route 35

Route 35 was an express route that ran between southern Orleans (Lakeridge & Vistapark) and Downtown. Service operated Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (AM peak) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PM peak). PM trips started at LeBreton station.

History

September 3rd, 2000

  • Some trips are extended to serve the growing community of east Orléans.
  • Instead of starting and ending at Innes and Tenth Line, some trips start at Innes and Orchardview and some were extended along Innes to start and end at Provence and Valin.
  • Routes 27 and 30 continued to serve Innes between Tenth Line and Orchardview.

September 2nd, 2001

  • All trips will be extended to Provence at Valin.

September 3rd, 2006

  • Was revised to start and end at Orchardview and Innes. Service on Provence will still provided by Route 22 and on Innes by new peak period Route 94.

September 6th, 2009

  • Route is extended south of Innes along Esprit, Blackburn Bypass, Lakeridge, Harvest Valley and Tenth Line to Lakepointe, replacing a portion of Route 32.
  • AM trips will serve Place d'Orleans Station in the AM.

November 28th, 2009

  • Will have a new trip added departing Innes and Orchardview at 5:54 AM which will help meet the high demand for service.
  • AM trips no longer deviate to serve Place d'Orleans Park & Ride stop.

April 17th, 2011

  • No boarding from Blair Station to Train Station is allowed.

September 4th, 2011

  • Will be shortened to start at Tenth Line and Harvest Valley, instead of Lakepointe.
  • Service on Tenth Line north of Brian Coburn will be provided by new Route 30.

September 1st, 2013

  • Busy trips/runs now being assigned articulated and Double Decker buses.

June 28th, 2015

  • No service to Lees, Hurdman, Train or Cyrville Stations.
  • No service at St-Laurent Station heading east in the afternoon.
  • Route is extended to start/end at Lake Ridge and South Field

December 20th, 2015

  • Ends at Albert/Bay in the morning.
  • Does not serve Blair Station eastbound in the afternoon.

April 24th, 2016

  • No service to Campus Station.

December 25th, 2016

  • Route is renumbered to Connexion Route 235 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
  • Express premium no longer required.
  • Morning trips to downtown serve the Place d’Orléans Park & Ride platform.
  • Afternoon trips serve the main Place d’Orléans platform.
