Orange County Transportation Authority

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is the public transportation planning body and transit service provider for Orange County, California.

History

  • The OCTA was established in 1991 from the Orange County Transit District, which was established in 1972.

Awards

In 2005, OCTA was judged America's Best Public Transportation System by the American Public Transportation Association, for its record ridership gains in the bus and the Metrolink trains that it operates or funds.
