The Nova Bus TC40-102N, also known as the Classic was a transit bus that was built from 1993 until 1997. Production of the Classic has started under General Motors in 1983 and had been sold to MCI in 1987. In turn the design passed to Nova Bus in 1993.

The Nova Bus Classic was available in a V-drive or T-drive powertrain configuration. The T-drive versions, where the engine and transmission are mounted inline longitudinally, have an intrusion between the rear seats to make room for the layout.

As with previous Classic manufacturers, Nova Bus produced an air-conditioned Classic known as the TC40-102A.
