|Years of manufacture||2009 to 2013|
|Power/Fuel||Liquefied natural gas|
The New Flyer Industries L40LFR is a restyled version of the L40LF model from New Flyer Industries. It features a curvy front end, as well as a smoother rear end with recessed taillights. The majority of the bus remains the same.
The first L40LFR launched in 2009 at the Tempe division of Valley Metro in Phoenix, AZ, USA. To date they they are the sole operator of the model. With the discontinuation of the LFR line in favor of the Xcelsior line, it is unlikely there will be any additional operators of the model. An Xcelsior equivalent has yet to be produced.
