The New Flyer Industries L40LFR is a restyled version of the L40LF model from New Flyer Industries. It features a curvy front end, as well as a smoother rear end with recessed taillights. The majority of the bus remains the same.
The first L40LFR launched in 2009 at the Tempe division of Valley Metro in Phoenix, AZ, USA. They were the sole operator of the model. An Xcelsior equivalent has yet to be produced.
