The New Flyer Industries L35LF was a liquefied natural gas (LNG) version of the D35LF model. Even though it was offered from 1994 until 2009, only around 32 L35LF buses were ever built, for one year in 1997, with most of those units converted to CNG. It was discontinued in 2009, when New Flyer discontinued the LF series of buses with the traditional style front and rear ends. Restyled Low Floor and MiDi equivalents were never produced, along with an Xcelsior version due to CNG fuel being cheaper than LNG.
