The New Flyer Industries DE60i (also referred to as DE60iLF-BRT) was an articulated, hybrid version of the Invero. It was introduced in 2003 as a conceptual bus rapid transit (BRT) vehicle. The modular design of the Invero allowed for multiple door placements. A raised roofline served to streamline the equipment that was on the roof. Two front ends were presented: the first had a lower cut, single-piece windshield and the other had a greater slope and overhang with recessed headlights.
The DE60i did not proceed past the concept stage, and instead, the BRT aspects were applied to the standard low floor model. The Advanced Styled BRT was launched in 2005 and used a similar front end.
