The New Flyer Industries DE35LFR is a restyled version of the DE35LF. It features a curved front end, as well as a smoother rear end with recessed taillights. The majority of the bus remains the same as the DE35LF. The model has been offered since 2006, however, it was not until 2010 the first buses were produced for Cities Area Transit of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
This model has been discontinued in 2013 in favor of the XDE35.
