The New Flyer Industries C30LF was a compressed natural gas (CNG) version of the D30LF model.
Even though the model was offered from 1994 to 2009, the first buses were built in 2000 for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority; the last ones were built in 2005 for Pierce Transit. After the 2009 model year, New Flyer no longer offered the LF series of buses with the traditional style front and rear ends. In November 2009, New Flyer updated their website and removed the LF models from their lineup. The C30LF was intended to be replaced by the C30LFR, however, the model's only customer (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) eventually cancelled its order in favor of the XN35. The LFR models have since been discontinued as of 2013 in favor of the Xcelsior series, which are not offered in 30-foot lengths. A CNG version of the MiDi was planned, which would have indirectly filled in the void left by the discontinuation of the C30LF and C30LFR, however, with the termination of the joint venture between New Flyer and Alexander Dennis in 2017, those plans have now been cancelled.
