Montgomery & Westside IBOA

Montgomery & Westside IBOA, also known as the A&C Bus Corporation, was a bus operator serving northern New Jersey with local bus service. It operated New Jersey Transit owned buses.[1]

History

After Bergen Avenue IBOA ceased operations on March 12, 2011, its operations were passed to Montgomery & Westside IBOA.

Due to financial problems as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and a drop in ridership, the corporation ceased operations on October 28, 2023.[2][3] As a result, New Jersey Transit took over their services beginning on October 28, 2023. A&C Bus Corporation was the second private bus operator in New Jersey to announce a discontinuation of service in 2023 after DeCamp Bus Lines in March, and followed by Coach USA ONE Bus in September.

On September 29, 2023, NJ Transit announced routes 30, 31, 32, and 33 will be transferred to NJT operations effective October 28, 2023 and renumbered to the 80S, 9, 14, and 8 respectively.[5]
