Milton Transit 1701-1702 are Nova Bus LFS buses built in 2016.

They were purchased through the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative, and were the first Nova Bus LFS buses delivered to Milton Transit. They were acquired as expansion units for new route 9.

In 2023, the Town of Milton, Milton Transit and MTB Transit Solutions announced they would be converting a mid-life bus to battery-electric power. It would be the first bus in Canada to be converted from diesel to electric. 1701 was the unit chosen, with its conversion work taking place in 2024. The total cost of the conversion, refurbishment, and supporting infrastructure was estimated at approximately $882,000.[1] 1701 was officially unveiled at Town Hall on March 25, 2025, and after undergoing testing, it is anticipated to re-enter service in Summer 2025.[2]
