Timeline
- July 4, 2011 - Route 91 'Hillcrest' is introduced, operating on Saturdays and Sundays replacing route 61 service south of City Centre Transit Terminal. Route loops via Hillcrest Avenue, Clayhill Avenue and Dundas Street. Service operates at 40 minutes frequency.
- Janaury 30, 2012 - Saturday service interlined with routes 8 and 68. Frequency reduced to 53 minutes from 40 minutes.
- March 26, 2012 - Route operates 7 days a week replacing all route 61 service south of City Centre Transit Terminal. Weekday service operates to Cooksville GO Station via Hillcrest Avenue, existing Saturday and Sunday routing maintained. Weekday rush hour frequency is 22 minutes; weekday midday frequency is 45 minutes; weekday evening frequency is 40 minutes.
- January 28, 2013 - Saturday and Sunday service eliminated due to low ridership. Route now operates Monday to Friday.
- October 26, 2015 - Weekday frequency reduced to 45 minutes all day.
- April 11, 2016 - Weekday service interlined with route 68. Weekday rush hour frequency increased to 30 minutes from 45 minutes; weekday midday and evening frequency is 45 minutes.
- October 29, 2018 - Routing in the City Centre area revised to use Living Arts Drive, no longer serving Duke of York.
- October 28, 2019 - Weekday rush hour frequency increased to 25 minutes from 30 minutes; weekday midday and evening frequency increased to 30 minutes from 45 minutes.
- April 26, 2021 - Route is eliminated. Routes 4, 6, and 38/38A are revised as alternate route options.
