MiWay 2051-2061 are New Flyer XDE60 buses built in 2020.
On September 4, 2019, Mississauga city council approved the purchase of 11 60' hybrid buses for MiExpress routes. The purchase would also allow MiWay to gain operational experience with 60' hybrid buses before proceeding with future purchases.
In October 2019, a tender was issued for the supply of 11 60' hybrid buses. New Flyer and Nova Bus responded to the tender as follows:
With New Flyer having the lowest bid, they were awarded the contract in December 2019. Delivery began in October 2020.
