Halifax Transit's Ragged Lake Transit Centre is a new bus garage (opened in August 2010) located in the Ragged Lake Business Park, between Bayers Lake Business Park and Exhibition Park. The $28 million project contains two separate buildings on one site:

• 55,920 sq. ft. maintenance facility with service, body/paint, and wash/fuel bays, as well as tool and tire storage, parts depot, revenue room, and an administrative support area.
• 119,990 sq. ft. transit operations facility with indoor storage for 150 buses, with the possibility to expand to 200.

By locating the garage on the Halifax side of Halifax Harbour, Halifax Transit estimates that it will save $1 million annually in harbour bridge tolls and deadheading costs. Road access will be through both the existing Route 333 (Prospect Road), as well as a new access ramp to nearby Highway 103.

In addition to more maintenance and operations space, a second Transit Dispatch Centre is part of the facility. Major repairs and bus painting will continue to be performed at the Burnside Transit Centre.
