The McDonnell Douglas MD-82 is a narrow-body short-to-medium haul airliner developed by McDonnell Douglas in the early-1980s. The MD-82 was the second version of the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 family, similar to the MD-81 but with more powerful engines.
