The Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg SG 310 was an articulated transit bus ("stadt gelenke") built from 1981 to 1988. It was available in 16.5 or 18 meter lengths with a 310 horsepower, horizontal diesel engine mounted under the floor in the front section.

After their partnership with AM General ended in 1979, MAN opened their own facility in Cleveland, North Carolina and introduced the SG 310. It was similar to the MAN SG-220, but received a few changes to better suit the American market. The most significant of which was the use of a more powerful engine.[1]
