Kingston Transit 1803-1837
Kingston Transit 1803-1837 are Nova Bus LFS buses built and delivered in late 2017/early 2018. These buses were purchased through the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative to replace older buses and for expansion. All buses were delivered with the Mobitec ITS/Announcement system, and feature BEA Fareboxes installed just after delivery.
At 17 units, this is the largest single order placed by Kingston Transit to date. Of these units, the last 6 units are express buses.
These buses are not sequentially numbered; the last two digits have been numbered around existing buses (such as a lack of a unit numbered 1804 due to there being a unit numbered 1504).
These buses are virtually identical to previous LFSes ordered by Kingston Transit. Differences include larger passenger window latches and automated announcement signs built into the front housing. Local buses feature a partial roofline and lack a rear window, and express buses feature a full roofline, rear window, high-backed seats, and transparent emergency hatches.
Upon entering service, these buses replaced 0315, 0621, 0952, 1371-1373, and 1474-1475 . The remaining 9 buses were for expansion.
