KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (also known as KLM) is a Dutch airline founded in 1919, who's largest hub is at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. KLM offers flights to over 100 different locations in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. KLM is part of Air France, which together operate under the name of Air France-KLM. KLM is also part of the SkyTeam airline alliance. This airline owned by the same group who owns Air France.

KLM names its planes on certain criteria.

A330 200/300's are named after city squares and parks, 737's are named after birds (animals), 747's are named after cities, 777's are named after notable sites/structures in the world, 787's will be named after flowers, and MD-11's were named after notable people.
