A highway coach is used primarily by private companies to provide intercity service. The most popular operator of highway coaches is Greyhound.
A highway coach is typically equipped for long-haul routes, and features usually include a single entrance/exit door, high-back reclinable seating, luggage bays both under the bus and on the interior, and an entertainment system usually including multiple monitors (TVs).
See Bus Manufacturers and Bus Components for more detailed information on vehicles. See Canadian Coach Operators and American Coach Operators for operators of highway coaches.
